Overwhelmed by all of your social networking sites? Help is on the way!

In today's world of high tech communication, social networking sites have become an important part of how we keep in touch with friends, clients, leads, business partners and more. In an attempt to keep up with the latest and greatest, most of us have found ourselves members of MANY different social networking sites, from LinkedIn, to Facebook, to MySpace, we've joined them all and now have to decide how to maintain them all.

Luckily, there is help! A site called Ping.fm allows you to update your status and write notes, among other things, and applies these updates to each of your networking sites. Long story short, you make the update once, and the system applies it to all of your separate networking sites. With over 30 networking sites, they are sure to offer the ones you use. The best part is, it's FREE!

How it works:

- First, you sign up for a free account.
- Next you indicate which networking sites you belong to, and enter your login information.
- Finally, you start updating your status on Ping.fm, and see it update on each of the sites. That's it!

A few important notes:

- This is a time saver, but it in no way replaces the need to login to each of your sites every now and then, participate in an interesting conversation, add friends, etc. It simply allows you to make a "mass" update without logging into each site.
- This also is in no way reccomending you sign up for each of the 30 networking sites Ping.fm has access to. It is, however, a good place to get ideas for sites to join.

Basically, this is a great time saver for those simple updates you make on your networking sites, but does not eliminate the need to actively participate in your networks to really acheive the best networking results possible.
